The learning period depends on your age, consistency, and comfort in water.
✅ Some people become comfortable in just a few weeks, while others may need more time—especially if they have a fear of water. Below is a general guide based on 2 lessons per week (each lasting about 45 minutes to 1 hour):
🐣 Level 1: Water Comfort & Safety (Beginner)
Duration: 10–14 days of lessons (5–7 weeks)
Frequency: 2 days per week
Focus:
Overcoming fear of water
Floating (front and back)
Safe water entry and exit
Basic breath control
Intro to self-rescue (roll over and float)
🐬 Level 2: Basic Swim Skills (Improver)
Duration: 10–16 days of lessons (5–8 weeks)
Frequency: 2 days per week
Focus:
Basic strokes: front crawl and backstroke
Kicking and breathing coordination
Treading water
Floating for survival
Swimming short distances (3–5 meters)
🐳 Level 3: Stroke Development (Intermediate)
Duration: 12–20 days of lessons (6–10 weeks)
Frequency: 2 days per week
Focus:
Stroke improvement: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke
Swimming longer distances (10–25 meters)
Deep water confidence
Basic diving and underwater skills
